Phoebe Pollitt, R.N.-C, Ph.D., practiced public health nursing for more than 20 years while teaching part time. She is now a full-time assistant professor of nursing at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Karen S. Reesman, Ph.D., R.N., N.E.A.-B.C., is the Founding Chair of the Department of Nursing and Nursing Program at Appalachian State University. She is now a full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing.

SCHOLARSHIP: National American Arab Nurses Association OFFERED BY: NAANA Scholarships DESCRIPTION:NAANA is pleased, once again, to announce its annual scholarships, awarded to the most meritorious applicants who are engaged in studying nursing at the Associate Degree, Bachelor degree, Master’s degree or RN-BSN levels. Annually, awards are made in the amounts of $500 - $1000, depending on the funds available in a given year for scholarships. The awards may be applied toward tuition and/or books in a given academic year.
