The School of Nursing is seeking qualified candidates for the following:
Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor/Adult Health
The School of Nursing of Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama is seeking applicants for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure Clinical track position to begin August 16, 2011. Candidates with expertise in area of adult health/gerontology/critical care are sought to teach our highly qualified student body. Responsibilities include: Classroom and clinical teaching, scholarly productivity in a supportive environment for clinical research, and participation in School and University governance through committee service. Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing with a specialty in adult health with a focus in gerontology/critical care. Must have current clinical and teaching experience. Desired qualifications: Certification as a Nurse Practitioner, Doctorate in nursing or related field. Teaching experience in a baccalaureate or MSN program. Review of applications will begin June 10, 2011, and continue until a qualified candidate is selected and recommended for appointment.

Candidates with expertise in an area of Adult Health, Mental Health, Pediatrics, Maternal/Infant or Community Health are sought to teach our highly qualified student body. Responsibilities include: Classroom and clinical teaching, scholarly productivity in a supportive environment for clinical research and participation in college and university committees. Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing with a specialty in an area of Adult Health, Mental Health, Pediatrics, Maternal/Infant or Community Health, and significant progress toward completion of doctorate. Doctorate in nursing or related field is required for tenure. Must have current clinical and teaching experience along with current clinical skills. Preferred qualifications: Doctorate in nursing or related field, baccalaureate and graduate teaching experience in nursing and evidence of scholarly productivity. Record of funded research. Review of applications will begin June 10, 2011, and continue until a qualified candidate is selected and recommended for appointment.
**All applicants must be eligible for an Alabama RN license, meet eligibility requirements to work in the U.S. at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills are required.
