Health Science Instructors needed for San Joaquin Delta College, Stockton, CA
Delta College needs EDUCATORS to prepare and help our students succeed in the health care profession.
We are seeking faculty with commitment and passion for teaching in Medical/Surgical Nursing, Simulation and Skills Laboratory AND Psychiatric Technician.
Requirements:
Nursing
• Current, active license as a registered nurse in the state of California.
• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• At least one year of experience within the last five years as a registered nurse providing direct patient care or clinical instruction in the area of medical/surgical nursing.
• At least one academic year of experience teaching nursing courses.
Nursing Simulation and Skills Laboratory
• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher
• Hold current California licensure as Registered Nurse.
• At least one year of recent current teaching experience in a clinical setting in a clinical setting in a state accredited, approved nursing, vocational practical nursing or psychiatric technician school within the last five years.
• Have a minimum of two years experience as a registered nurse within the last five years.
Psychiatric Technician
• Have approval as a psychiatric technician instructor by the California Board of • Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians
• Hold current California active license as Registered Nurse AND
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or a valid teaching credential
• Have a minimum of 2 year’s experience as a registered nurse or licensed psychiatric technician within the last 5 years.
