The University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing invites applicants for nursing faculty positions. These are full-time and part-time positions in the specialty areas of Adult Health, Maternal-Child, Pediatrics, and Psych-Mental/Health. Qualified candidates will have at least two years of teaching experience in an institution of higher learning, current clinical experience and certification in their specialty area and simulation lab experience. A Baccalaureate and Master's degree in nursing and eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Texas are required. An earned doctoral degree is desired. Primary teaching responsibility will be in the undergraduate program. The UTMB School of Nursing undergraduate program consists of an accelerated one year online; two year; and three year progressions and an RN-BSN online track.
UTMB provides a rich interdisciplinary environment conducive to teaching, practice, and research across Schools of Nursing, Medicine, Allied Health Sciences, and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. The School of Nursing has a state of the art laboratory for bio-behavioral research, a nursing simulation center, and other faculty resources. The UTMB campus is home to the University Hospitals and Clinics including the John Sealy Hospital, Children's Hospital, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Hospital, and the Biosafety Level 4 (BSL4) Laboratory, and the Galveston National Laboratory.
