Eastern Michigan University invites applications for open tenure-track position in nursing. Rank will be determined based on experience and credentials in accordance with University policy. Applicants who have expertise in psychiatric/mental health nursing are highly desired. All other practice areas will be considered. Position will be effective Fall term 2012.
The School of Nursing is one of four schools in the College of Health and Human Services. The School offers both undergraduate program options and a graduate program in adult health nursing. A PhD in Educational Studies with a concentration in Nursing Education in collaboration with the College of Education is also offered. Eastern Michigan University is located in southeast Michigan and has more than 23,000 students. Qualifications:
• Eligibility for or current Michigan nursing license required
• Master’s in nursing required
• Applicants with a minimum of 18 doctoral credits (or equivalent) will be considered for Assistant Professor rank.
Preference is given for applications that demonstrate:
• Psychiatric/mental health MSN specialization
• Doctoral degree attainment in Nursing or a related field
• Teaching experience
• Evidence of an active scholarship
• Evidence of professional and/or community service
