Vice President, Patient Care Services

Job Description:

Responsible for the overall strategic direction and oversight of patient care services for the agency, including strategic planning, budgeting, staff planning, process improvement, and utilization review to ensure that all patient care programs meet or exceed NHPCO standards and all federal and state regulations.

Direct Reports – Clinical Division Directors and Crisis Care Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in nursing, health management, or business with at least five (5) years of health care management experience required. Must be a Registered Nurse, with an active Florida license. Hospice experience preferred. Experience with electronic patient charting/medical records preferred. A demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others. Experience in strategic planning and implementation and budget management required. Excellent interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills necessary. Strong customer service orientation needed.

EXPECTATIONS:
Leads and directs staff to achieve the mission, vision, values and behaviors of TCH.

KEY RESULTS AREAS:
1. Responsible for quality patient care as measured by patient/family satisfaction surveys, consumer complaints, and supervisory visit results.
2. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsible for accurate and complete plans of care, implementation of those plans of care, and documentation as measured by chart audits.
3. Build, develop and manage clinical leadership team capable of carrying out operations strategies while ensuring effective employee relations.
4. Implement initiatives to improve clinical staff retention and satisfaction as measured by employee satisfaction survey and turnover rates.
5. Responsible for maintaining sufficient staffing levels and resources to meet patient care needs, in accordance with approved budget.
6. Build and maintain a work environment that is advantageous to open, honest communications with all employees, thereby empowering all team members to perform to the best of their ability, as measured by employee satisfaction survey and turnover rates.
